Four days dedicated to international video art with spaces for discussion and research, performance and music. There will be exhibited finalist videos divided into three categories: in Competition (they compete for first prize), Selected / Out of competition and Special Mentions (they compete for Art Critic Award and Public Award).
Moreover 2 Monitor Spaces - will present a multimedia list – that can be consulted by country and alphabetical order – of the finalist videos and other 150 videos which took part in the competition.
Special Guest space is dedicated to the famous Netherlands artist Erwin Olaf with 2 videos: Dusk (2009) & Dawn (2010), courtesy of the Netherlands Media Art Institute (Amsterdam).
Artists from 60 countries worldwide attended the video art competition about the theme “INVISIBLE VIOLENCE – privat, public, social”. Remarkable numbers for a issue such complex and an important confirmation of the current diffusion and use of video art.
